Foreign participants of 5BMMC may need entry visa to visit Russia.
The package of documents for Russian Visa application depends on the resident country requirements. Please, check these requirements in advance at the Russian Consulate located in your country. List of the Russian Consulates with the corresponding telephones can be found here .
MaxiMICE Technical secretariat will provide participants with the visa vouchers, required to obtain Russian Tourist Visa or Business Visa. The Tourist and Business supporting documents will be issued for the duration of the Conference and, if applicable, pre- or/and post-conference tours.
The deadline for Visa documents request is July 15, 2012
Supporting documents will be based on your personal information submitted online at the Visa Support section of your personal page.
NB: Technical Secretariat will send the visa supporting documents to the participant only after the Registration fee and hotel accommodation are fully paid!
How to get a Russian Visa
Step 1 – Request the Visa Support (upon registration to the conference)
- The last step (Step 4) during registration process is the visa support request.
- Fill in the zip code, address, passport number, citizenship, country of residence, date of birth, entry date and exit date, passport expiry date.
- Choose the type of visa (tourist or business) most suitable for your trip (the type of visa issued may differ from the exact purpose of your trip).
- Choose the type of delivery format of visa supporting documents.
- Request the original of visa invitation if the Russian Consulate in your country requests a hard copy of the document (Great Britain, China, Iran, Iraq, etc). Express post expense will be covered by participant.
Step 2 – Obtain the Visa at the Russian Consulate
- Contact the local Russian Consulate in order to determine their requirements for obtaining visa
- Prepare the required package of documents and submit it to the Consulate
- Pick up your visa and check to make sure that the information is correct
Step 3 – Register your visa in the hotel
- You must register your visa in three working days upon arrival in Russia.
- Exceptions:
- if you are staying at a hotel, the hotel administration will register your visa for the period of stay;
- you are not required to register your visa if you stay in Russia for less than 3 days.
NB: All foreign citizens arriving to Russia have to fill in a migration card. The migration card will be provided before crossing the border (by airplanes, trains, buses, ships, etc.) Please, be careful in filling in this migration card and keep it until leaving Russia.
