The Sputnik Hotel is a modern 3-star hotel located in the south-west of Moscow on Leninskiy Prospekt, one of the city's major roads. The higher floors of the hotel, a functional 1960s block, there are superb panoramic views of southern Moscow, dominated by the Moscow University building in the Sparrow Hills and the Luzhniki Central Stadium. The Sputnik is only 5 kilometers from the Kremlin and Red Square. The pick up point, the Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry, is right accross the road.
Built in 1968 to accommodate members of the All-Union Central Soviet of Trade Unions, the hotel was partly renovated in 2006.
